Laura Morris was an amazing woman, mom, wife, daughter, and friend to everyone who knew her. Laura passed away November of 2024, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, leaving behind a beautiful family and many friends. Laura spent much of her life in the Wausau School District, as a student and athlete, and eventually, as a teacher and technology integration specialist.

Laura was a wonderful leader in many ways. She was a team captain of her soccer team at Wausau East, and later as a coach, elementary teacher, and tech specialist helping teachers to integrate the latest technologies into their classrooms. She continued to be a leader throughout her cancer battle, posting videos of her experiences, hoping to help others going through similar battles.

Our goal is to create a scholarship in Laura's name for students at Wausau East High School who have been or are being affected by cancer. Raising $7,500 would allow us to set up a $500 yearly scholarship for the next 15 years .
