The moment has come. I am making wine to build the community I've sought (envisioned). A wine community where we celebrate the beauty that is wine, through sharing joy and creating memories with each other. I believe that wine should be appreciated like art.

Wine 4 Da Ppl started as a podcast in 2019. After Nipsey Hussle's untimely death, I was motivated to create something to honor him and the movement he started—the marathon, indeed, continues. Using just my iPhone, I would purchase wines from various wine shops and make music inspired by the wine on SoundCloud. I've taken a break from it since, but the show is still on Apple podcasts under a different moniker. Click here and give me a listen if you'd like.
After a decade focused on the service side of wine, I am now expanding my horizons and jumping over to the production side. It started with a great opportunity to be a harvest intern in Napa a couple of years ago.
The creative aspirations from 2019 stayed with me and I continued to follow the vision I had for winemaking. Earlier this year, I was selected as a mentee in the AVP Wine Collective Incubator Program. I'll be making two different wines this year, a Sauvignon Blanc and a Cabernet Franc - as a white wine. My expected production will be around a thousand bottles, toward the end of 1st quarter '25. To sell my wine, instead of using a traditional third-party distributor I'm launching a subscription-based wine community, offering curated event activations, regular shipments of wine, and exclusive video content for community members.
The $30k will cover
- Pay all open accounts for wine production
- Secure licensing and permits to sell wine (by state)
- Marketing - event activations, social media content, video content
- Creating and launching wine club
- Future production license
- Personal development plan - new wine certifications, a new vehicle, much-needed mental and emotional self-care maintenance
