My name is Crystal I am a caregiver specializing in hospice support and dementia care. I help a lot of families and their loved ones by keeping them comfortable, safe, and improving their quality of life. I give the family support as well. Now I am the one needing the support.

Eleven years ago I met Larry, the love of my life, my strength, my everything. In addition, Larry stepped into the role of father to my children from a previous marriage. He showed my girls what a real father is. He has held them when they've cried, protected them and most importantly, shown them unconditional love. Almost a week ago Larry was rushed to the ER. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and too much CO2 in his blood. He was unresponsive for several days and in the Cardiac ICU.

By the grace of God, he finally woke up. He's is still very ill, but he is steadily improving! The next step is going to a Long Term Progressive Care Hospital. He will need physical therapy and other treatments. Before Larry can come home, our house will need some adjustments in order to keep him safe. The most urgent need is to make our bathroom handicapped accessible. We currently have a tub and it needs to be converted to a walk-in shower. He needs grab bars and a taller toilet as well. Any funds raised will go for that and a few other things such as safety rails added to the front and rear entrances of our home.

For the last eleven years Larry has done everything he could to make life better for me as well as my children. He is my biggest fan and keeps me going even though I suffer from a disability of my own.

The time has come to do for Larry what he has always done for me and our children. We must love him, protect him, cheer him on and make life better!
