Donate to Lama’s family to survive the situation in Gaza

This is the story of 15 year old Lama:

“I am Lama Al-Shamali from the northern Gaza Strip in Beit Lahia. I belong to a family of 9 people, half of them in the southern Gaza Strip and the other half in the north.

I was separated from my brothers and father since the beginning of the war. I live in a tent with my grandmother, my grandfather and my brother. We are exposed to all kinds of harm from the weather, war, hunger and disease.

There is no peace, no food, no water, no medicine, no health care. In northern Gaza, we have seen all kinds of death, displacement, fear, destruction, hunger and thirst.

I hope you will support me and help me find the minimum requirements for human life during this ugly war so that we can provide food, water, medicine and aid that will help us be patient until we survive.

The rest of my family also suffer greatly from the difficulty of providing the most important necessities of life, like water and firewood, due to the lack of cooking gas in the northern Gaza Strip. We also suffer from the spread of epidemics because of the accumulation of waste, and all our streets are unwalkable due to the sewage water as a result of the occupation's destruction of the infrastructure.

There have been days when our family ate leaves and animal food.

At any moment we may pass, we may be among the dead or among the injured. Here we live all kinds of death, hunger and thirst. We have been displaced and displaced more than 5 times under very difficult humanitarian conditions. I cannot describe the suffering that my family and I have faced.

My family in the north live in a residential neighborhood that was completely destroyed. They went to live in a school but it was burned down too.

All we ask of you is to help as much as you can with any amount so that we can obtain our most basic rights.

Our dream is getting the chance to live. I dream for me and all my brothers to return to school and university outside the Gaza Strip. Here they have destroyed of all the universities in the Gaza Strip."

I am Elly from Sydney, Australia, and I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Wefa, Lama’s mother, who will be sending the money to Lama and her other children. Wefa is hoping to raise enough to get her children out of Gaza to a safer place, ideally to receive adequate treatment and attend school and university.
