Hi, All! Well, I never expected to see you guys here. As any of you who know me will attest, I am not at all usually the type to ask for help. But I have found myself in some serious need of assistance, unfortunately. On January 26th, around 11 PM, I was involved in a very bad car accident. I was driving home after having dinner with some friends when I hit some black ice while trying to come to a stop. My car careened through a backroad intersection and off of the road before finally crashing into the side of a detached garage. I was trapped inside as the car filled with smoke, trying to smash my way through the window. Thankfully, another car happened to pass by as I was losing control and the driver called the police. It so happened that a deputy was on patrol nearby and miraculously came to my aide just in time before my car was fully engulfed in flames. I was rushed to the hospital with two broken feet, a broken ankle, a broken rib, and a broken nose. I ended up requiring surgery on both feet and my nose and having to spend a full week in the hospital. I am very grateful to be alive and able to rest and recover at home with my boys. However, I still have a long road ahead. I am wheelchair-bound through at least April and will likely have a lot of physical therapy to work through. My Mom has had to take a lot of time away from work to be by my side and help me. Needless to say, the expenses accrued throughout all of this have really mounted and have no end yet in sight. I could very much use any help available to begin chipping away at some of my medical expenses and additional costs. Thank you all so much in advance! Any contributions made are greatly appreciated.
