Kyra Elizabeth Smith is now the brightest star in the sky, after her brave fight against a brain tumor ended in August 2024. Kyra's courage has hugely impacted the Libertyville community, and we are working to preserve her memory by erecting a beautiful memorial at Copeland Manor Elementary. Copeland, just a few blocks from the Smith home, will always be a place to remember Kyra playing with Brenna and their friends, Kyra practicing soccer in the fields, and Kyra finding support and strength through her teachers during the last months of her life.
