Kurvin was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in November of 2023. Since then he has undergone immunotherapy and radiation. Unfortunately the cancer spread and is now a very aggressive type of prostate cancer. He and his wife Nicki are exploring their options but regardless of what is picked, it will be very costly to them. Kurvin was the Mayor of Jay Florida for 14 years and Served on the council for 6 years. In this time served his community in so many ways for 20 years in total. He still serves on boards to better help the state of Florida despite his diagnosis.
