We are fundraising for Kurt, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather of three. He is one of the funniest guys you could ever have the pleasure to meet. Kurt is in urgent need of a kidney transplant.

Right now, Kurt has been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure. In this fight for his life, he still manages to make door-to-door deliveries while going through nightly 8 1/2 hour dialysis sessions. His sweet wife of 25 years, Apple, struggles with mobility issues, but continues to work and tries to supplement their income. Kurt is on SS, and receives Medicare, but with mounting medical bills, and less energy to work, they are struggling to survive. This fundraiser is to help them survive while waiting for a donor kidney match. Apple is currently going through the testing and procedures to see if she qualifies to donate one of her kidneys to someone in need. Unfortunately, she is not a match for our brother. By her making this huge sacrifice, Kurt is moved up the long list of waiting candidates and will be the recipient of a kidney as soon as a match becomes available. This is referred to as a swap.
