Hi.

My name is Autumn, and I'm here to raise funds for one of my beloved friends.

She and her family were hit with a massive bill when their dog, Kumi (a seven year old Yorkie mix-- "Kumi" is a nickname for "Kuma"), recently became very sick.

He slowly began to not eat as much as before, and whatever he did manage to eat, he threw up-- sometimes multiple times a day. This was incredibly unusual, to say the least, as he is typically a voracious eater. Not even his favorite foods could convince him to eat. After some time, he couldn't even keep down water.

On 12/10/2025, they took Kumi to the animal hospital, and it was decided that he'll have to be hospitalized for roughly five days.

After some initial testing, they found that he was extremely anemic and dehydrated. They were concerned about the possibility of pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer, as well as possible diabetes. Yesterday, they had discovered that there are two masses inside of him-- in the pancreas and the intestine (cecum). The larger one is in the cecum.

They are currently unsure as to whether or not the masses are cancerous, they are doing further testing to determine such.

He is incredibly skinny, and so surgery may not be possible, currently.

He is slowly improving, though not to the degree that is expected given the treatment he has received so far. So, additional treatment may be required.

They-- my friend's family-- cannot afford said treatment. The initial bill is steep enough as is (~$5760)-- which they are still struggling to gather funds to cover the cost.

Kumi is incredibly loved by his family (and by my friend's friends-- including myself) and so we want to do everything in our power to help take care of him.

We need a hand in covering the costs.
