On 7/25/25 my SIL and our family got a shocking diagnosis. Kristen was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Leukemia. She was still 30 weeks and 6 days pregnant with her twins she worked so hard to have. Within 24 hours of being diagnosed with leukemia, she had to have an emergency c section to deliver her baby boys. The boys were born 2 months early at just over 3 lbs each and spent 5 weeks in the NICU growing and getting strong. We are so incredibly grateful that she was far enough along to deliver them.

Having an emergency c section for twins, followed by a 5 week NICU stay for both the boys and intensive cancer treatment that will continue into next year, finances for my brothers family on one income for their new family of 5 has been very difficult especially with the medical bills already starting to come in.

My brother and sister in law have never been ones to ask for help, but their world turned upside down so unexpectedly. They continue to lean on their faith in God to get through this difficult season. We know that not everyone is in a position to donate, and that's completely okay.
