For the last few years my mother—Val McBean, has been feeding multiple stray cats. These cats are fed numerous times a day, and are certainly not spared any snacks or love.
Particularly, she has been very fond of a 3 legged stray we creatively refer to as simply “Kitty”. We are unsure where Kitty came from but he showed up at my mom’s years ago and decided he did not want to leave. He has lived in my mom’s backyard for the last years; in a plugged in heated house in the winter, and can be found sunbathing in the summer with his cohorts. While he spends a lot of time with us, he is still a stray cat with no interest of being confined indoors, and has a penchant for roaming.
Unfortunately, Kitty was hit by a car yesterday. Fortunately, and traumatically enough my mom found him on the street and we were able to take him to the emergency. He is stable now and expected to survive, they believe—however, his stay for only 48 hours has already exceeded $5,000, and we are honestly unsure how much more cost to expect to incur. Like most other stray cats, Kitty has lived a very hard life . While he is a stray, he certainly deserves another shot at life— and we estimate he has at least another 6 lives left. Any amount of funds go towards helping pay this little guy’s medical expenses, and is so very much appreciated. Completely understand the state of—well everything, right now and aware this is a hard time to ask people to donate so please don’t feel anyway if you are not in a position to do so. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading and if you could share or pass along that would be wonderful and appreciated —cheers!
