Hello!

my name is Carly and I am asking for help for a dear friend of mine. I’d like to keep his information as private as I can because of the state of the world we live in today but I will say his name is King and he is a trans man who has top surgery scheduled in a few short days. He was told insurance would cover the majority of the surgery until he received a phone call today saying that he would owe $8,000 that insurance would not cover. Not only is he heartbroken because he was told majority would be covered, he is living alone on a single fixed income. This surgery isn’t for fun or purely cosmetic. This surgery is to ensure he is comfortable in his own body and can perform day to day functions without feeling like a stranger in his own body.

King is not only one of the kindest human beings I have had the pleasure to get to know, he is a rescuer of animals and his house is filled with four footed friends he has rescued, he works with animals in a field he loves and he is always there for his friends and family when they need him.

Times are hard, but if you have even a dollar to spare to help my friend cover this surgery, it would mean the absolute world to me and to him.
