Donate to Kim’s Life-Saving Brain Cancer Treatment

Hi my name is Grace and I’m using this gofundme to help raise money for the strongest woman I know, my mama. Her name is Kim and she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April of 2017. In November of that year, she had a double mastectomy and went into remission for 4 and a half years. In May of 2023, her and our family were devastated to find out that the cancer had returned and metastasized into her liver, spine, and part of her rib. At this point she was now diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer which has a survival rate of 3-5 years. She has gone through chemotherapy again and countless different drugs to give her the best quality of life thanks to her amazing oncologist, Dr. Jay Sidloski from Mercy Hospital who’s kept her alive and well since her first diagnosis. She had gone into remission for a second time in November of 2023 but unfortunately the cancer came back to her liver and rib again in May of 2024. She has been living vibrantly since then with great medications and it even came to the point where Dr. Sidloski was giving her a choice of life by doing chemo every 6 weeks instead of 3 until she didn’t wanna do it anymore. But unfortunately, that good news was taken away from us when her recent scans showed the cancer had spread to her brain, the other half of her liver, and her spine as of today. She is now unable to drive because she’s at risk of seizures and this will affect her being able to work. While we still have hope that this will be treatable despite the very low odds once the cancer hits the brain, this treatment will be expensive. She may have to file for bankruptcy at this point so my hopes from making this gofundme is that you will either be able to donate whatever you can even if it’s just a dollar, or at least share it around in hopes to reach somebody who can. I just turned 19 and losing my mom so young has been a fear of mine since 11 years old that I really am hoping isn’t gonna come true soon.
