Hi guys. My cousin, Kimberly, was diagnosed with Von Willebrand's disease as a child. For those who don't know, it is a severe blood clotting disorder due to a lack of Factor VIII in the bloodstream. She's handled it like a champ thus far, but she has come to the point where she MUST have a hysterectomy. As every woman knows, this is a hard enough decision even when it is something she chooses. Kimberly now has no other options as the bleeding is causing significant blood loss. The hospital is now demanding that she pay 25% of her surgery upfront before getting the procedure done.
