My mom passed away on Thursday, April 11th at 1pm surrounded by her Village. There will be a celebration gathering at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield on Sunday, April 28th from 2-5pm. We would love to see you all and hear your stories about mom, the original Fun Gal.

My name is Kerry Dianora and my family and I are trying to raise funds for my mom, Kim de Mello, and her medical bills.

My mom went to the ER on Wednesday March 27th cause she wasn’t feeling 100% - her blood pressure was scary low and she was lightheaded. Once she got to Fairfax and did some testing, they told her that they would be admitting her to the ICU. We were all nervous, but she was in high spirits and was ready to get home.

Within the next few days, she would be intubated and put on dialysis while her body fought septic shock. This has been a whirlwind of a week for our family, as we did not see anything of this magnitude coming. It has been 10 days since she was admitted and we are still working with the amazing doctors and nurses at Inova Fairfax to get my mom through this time.

We are feeling extremely hopeful that my mom will be able to return home soon and would like to alleviate any stress that may come in the aftermath of her visit related to any medical bills (as you can imagine they will be significant). If you are able to donate to assist with these bills our family would be forever grateful. Please also continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers in the coming weeks.
