We are khāos, the ShenCo Dance Senior Class of 2026 at Shenandoah Conservatory.
before every great creation, there is khāos...
We represent Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts candidates who are artists, choreographers, performers, designers, and researchers and are excited and ready to share our art with the world in our final year of undergraduate studies!
We are raising funds to support:
Two culminating senior capstone projects.
- These capstones will culminate in two presentational concerts - an ensemble choreography concert and a solo choreography and research presentation concert. These performances and presentations aim to reinvigorate the audience's view of dance and research.
Funds for the capstone projects will be used for:
- A choreographic residency with Princess Grace Award winner and acclaimed artist Maleek Washington
- Hiring photographer and videographer Jonathan Hsu for marketing campaigns and materials
- Hiring technical production team members like stage managers and lighting designers
- Acquiring props and costuming for creative design elements
Two once-in-a-lifetime professional development trips to New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Funds for these development trips will be used for:
- travel and housing
- paying for drop-in and private guest classes with master teachers and industry artists
- unique opportunities to watch alumni perform in each of the three cities
Our goal of $40,000 is to provide funds for 19 senior artists in this class to make our visions and careers become realities, and we can’t do it without YOU!
