On August 31st, Kevin suffered a ruptured peptic ulcer. It caused a hole in his stomach and then immediately became severe sepsis. He underwent emergency laparoscopic surgery to repair the rupture with a Graham Patch. Kevin was intubated after the surgery and admitted into the hospital to be closely monitored during his recovery. They were also working on bringing down his extremely high white count.
Finally, after a week, he was released to finish his recovery at home. He was not allowed to eat any solid food for over two weeks. Tina was out of work during this time, and Kevin's medical bills are not being totally covered. Needless to say, financially, these two incredible people are struggling to pay all their bills.
