Hello, my name is Kevin. I’m currently going through some medical issues. I have a large tumor on my head that is cancerous. For the last several months, I have been unable to work due to the tumor that is causing me constant pain and the obvious look of it on my face. I am currently going through several months of treatments with chemotherapy to reduce the growth before surgery to remove it. The side effects of chemotherapy have caused me constant fatigue and a rash on my chest and back that is very irritating. Thankfully, I have been approved for Medicaid to cover my medical bills. This, unfortunately, does not cover my monthly bills and lease. I applied for a disability claim with the Department of Social Services, but this could take up to six months to a year before they decide if I’m even eligible. I have bills and lease that are past due. It’s very possible that I will be evicted from my home before any claim is approved. I’m asking for help to get me through this difficult time in my life until I’m back on my feet and cancer-free. Thank you for listening to my story.
