Help Kevin Recover from a Life-Changing Stroke

I am reaching out on behalf of Ailene McInnes to ask for your support for her beloved husband, Kevin McInnes, who suffered a devastating stroke on January 17th of this year.

Kevin is a proud husband, uncle, brother, son, Local 79 member, and a genuinely great human being whose life has been turned upside down due to this unprecedented medical event. Kevin suffered an ischemic stroke, which occurs when a blood clot, known as a thrombus, blocks or plugs an artery leading to the brain.

As with most ischemic strokes, this came as a huge shock to Kevin and Ailene, leaving them with a difficult uphill battle towards recovery, and now they need our help.

The stroke has left Kevin with limited mobility, difficulty speaking, and the need for intensive rehabilitation. Kevin has made amazing strides since his stroke. He spent two weeks in the ICU at Montefiore Medical Center: Moses Campus. He is now at Burke Rehabilitation in White Plains to begin his journey of being able to get back home. Although they are determined to regain their strength, the road ahead is long and costly. Medical bills, physical therapy, speech therapy, and daily living expenses are piling up, creating an overwhelming financial burden for Kevin and Ailene.
