Helping my friend Annie Davis with this fundraiser for our friend Kerri… Please help if you are able to.

I’ve had the absolute privilege of calling Kerri my friend for almost ten years. If you know her, you know she is one of the most fiercely loving, loyal, and selfless people you’ll ever meet. She gives her whole heart to the people she cares about — and right now, she needs that same love returned to her.

Kerri has been courageously battling an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder that has profoundly affected her life. Over the years, this condition has taken nearly all of her hearing and caused painful crystal deposits in her eyes, leading to constant inflammation, hazy vision, and daily discomfort. For nearly two decades, she has lived with chronic pain and has relied on intermittent steroid treatments just to get through each day.
In 2023, after years of being dismissed and overlooked, Kerri finally found a doctor who truly listened—thanks to her relentless self-advocacy and determination to find answers. She has traveled across the country in search of care, all while managing the demands of work and raising her three children.
Many of you know that in September 2024, Kerri underwent her first cornea transplant in her right eye, and in February 2025, she received a cochlear implant. These were life-changing steps forward, made possible by her perseverance and the support of those around her.
Now, Kerri is preparing for her second cornea transplant, scheduled for the end of July. While insurance will help with some of the costs, there are still significant out-of-pocket expenses. One of the most critical is a procedure called cross-linking, which helps prevent the body from rejecting the donor cornea. Unfortunately, insurance companies still label this procedure as "experimental" and refuse to cover it, even though it was successful in her right eye and is medically necessary given her body's inflammatory response.
On top of this, Kerri also needs a high-powered hearing aid for her non-implanted ear, as well as meeting her deductible and other related medical costs. The mounting expenses are overwhelming and have forced her to make difficult choices about which treatments and devices she can afford.
Any support—whether financial, emotional, or simply spreading the word—means the world to Kerri and her children. Your kindness can help restore not just her sight and hearing, but also her hope.
Thank you so much for your help!
