Help Kennedy Stand Tall!

Hi, my name is Kennedy, and I'm 11 years old. I love to play basketball; at least I used to, before scoliosis made it harder.

About a year ago, my family and I found out that I have a mild case of scoliosis, which means my spine is curved in a way that causes pain, fatigue, and difficulty moving around like other kids my age. My doctors say that if we act now, I can avoid surgery, but only if I wear a special custom-made medical back brace every day to help straighten my spine as I grow. Time is critical. I am currently only 5 degrees from my scoliosis progressing from mild to moderate. The longer we wait, the more my spine will curve, making it harder to treat and putting my health at greater risk.

The brace I need is custom-made and is not covered by insurance. It costs over $6,000, which is more than my family can afford on our own. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
