**UPDATE**

As of this morning, July 31, Kelly is the proud owner of a pink, urine producing kidney! And the best news? Doctors are talking about an early release to continue healing at home.

KELLY'S KIDNEY MIRACLE

Everyone's favorite "Kelly" is getting a kidney! No seriously... As we speak, Kelly Eleen Austin, is receiving the gift of a kidney. After years of incredible strength and faith, Kelly is in surgery receiving a kidney transplant at the University of Michigan through their Organ Donation Registry.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: This large scale medical miracle does come with a large scale expense. As Kelly begins this recovery journey, we are hoping to be able to offer her financial support. All donations will go directly toward gas, hotel stays, meals, and other travel-related needs for Kelly as she navigates the coming weeks. We also know and respect that not everyone can afford to give financially... but that you have prayers, words of encouragement, and other various methods of support to offer!

HER JOURNEY: This moment has been a long time coming and one filled with hope, heartbreak, and unwavering faith! Kelly received her first transplant at just 18 years old, but over the course of the last 26 years, she has endured two failed kidney transplants and has spent much of her adult life on dialysis and in and out of hospitals dealing with other major health concerns - all related to her kidney disease. Her medical journey runs deep and we could fill up an entire book on just what this sweet woman has endured... But Kelly is a woman with HOPE & STRENGTH! A woman who will not let her journey here on earth determine "her story!" God is not done with her yet... and no matter the outcome, she is ready to see where this gift from God takes her.

Yesterday afternoon (July 29) Kelly received a phone call from U of M, letting her know that they had found a match. Their organ retrieval team started the retrieval process at 4am today and on top of verifying blood work, etc... they needed to actually put eyes on the kidney to make sure that it's health was top notch! And YES LORD, that kidney was perfect. She received the phone call today, July 30, around 10:15am that it was GO TIME! She and our mom packed up and headed straight there.

And that brings us to our most recent update... By the time this has been posted and shared, Kelly will be in surgery, receiving this beautiful gift.

Thank you for your prayers and support. We remain filled with hope and unwavering gratitude to you all... and ultimately to our Heavenly Father! He has never let go of Kelly... and He never will. We are just the lucky ones who get to witness His miracle.
