A very good friend of mine Kelli, from church was diagnosed back in July with a rare aggressive form of thyroid cancer called anaplastic thyroid cancer and the survival rate is very slim. She has not been able to work and is now considered disabled. She has been approved for SSI but only receives a small portion of her expenses and it doesn't cover all of her monthly obligations. Her rent alone is 700 and her car payment is 350 her car insurance is 100 her internet and utilities is another 100 and of course she also needs money for gas and groceries etc. She has been informed that she was accepted to the Washington University Research Hospital in St Louis 215 miles away for a consultation and possible cutting edge treatment and surgery that Springfield doesn't offer which means she will also need additional funds for travel expenses including gas, meals and lodging. Her monthly income barely covers her rent so I am reaching out and asking friends family and anyone who is able to make a small donation to help Kelli get through this difficult time. Please share this with your friends and family on Facebook and keep Kelli in your prayers, she is only 59 years old and this type of cancer has a very low life expectancy rate! Thank you for ANY help you can offer!
