Hello, my name is Kellie. I'm here asking for help because I don't know where else to turn. I've been dealing with health issues for the past two years. I have some form of persistent bacterial infection that will not go away. I believe it started with a sinus infection, but it has now had time to affect everything in my head, neck, and face. After my husband passed, I couldn't afford health insurance, so I went to countless emergency rooms, urgent cares, dentists, and even saved up for an otolaryngologist. I could find no help. They would all confirm that I had bacteria in my blood, but would never look for any root cause—why it wouldn't go away. I would walk away with antibiotics and a good luck. It has changed the structure of my face, pushed out my teeth, raised my cheekbones, and widened my jaw. My entire head and neck have enlarged. I've lost partial sight in my left eye and lost teeth. Around Christmas, I got sick and it set off the infection. It's gotten very bad. If I press on my throat, fluid comes up into my mouth. If I press on my cheeks, forehead, eyeballs, or top of my head, fluid comes out of my gums. I was able to get health insurance through my new job, so I went to a primary care physician. They did a CT of my head, saw nothing, and sent me on my way. I'm struggling to keep fighting this fight. My mother, father, sister, and husband have all passed, so I'm doing it alone. I haven't been able to work, so I can't afford my bills, the cost of living, or copays to try and find another doctor that might help. So I came here. If you can find it in your heart to help, I will forever be grateful.
