Hello, my name is Yolanda, native from the greater Bay Area of San Francisco, California. Post-COVID and the uncertainty of our economy, I was recently laid off from my career job unexpectedly after 18 years due to a 'Reduction of Workforce.' The company was not doing so well financially.

I feel a great deal of hesitation in writing this request to you all, but since I am in dire difficulty, I cannot but turn to you for help. I have had to incur much expenditure in connection with my mental health, on the brink of an eviction of my home due to high cost-of-living, etc. All this has meant a heavy strain on my financial resources.

Since I have to pay up certain bills, would you consider accommodating me with a donation of what you can provide? This donation would be greatly used to cover my utility bills and other expenses that I have incurred until I get back on my feet and into the workforce. Today they say there are more unemployed people than jobs. This is true. I'm out there along with others walking that pavement, telephone interviews, multi-person panel interviews, Microsoft Teams interviews, and Zoom calls. It's disheartening, but I try to stay strong and in hopes of a possible positive outcome. I hope you will not judge me for the help I stand in need of at this juncture.

Yes, I am a very independent woman of choosing. I have had struggles my whole life, but I turn my cheek to be humble and give back to my community of whom help me to succeed and looked at as inspiration to others. But this era has taken me into a darker demention that I was not prepare for and again I'm fighting for my life.

My home is my safe place I have left for my sanity and peace of mind.
