Hi, my name is Stacey. Im reaching out with a very hard ask.i am in the middle of a 5 year emotionally overwhelming custody battle and to prove abuse against my children by their father. I'm trying to raise funds to get my 2 sweet kids out of their abusive father's home and to get full custody of my 12-year-old and 9-year-old. These donations will help me retain a lawyer for my trial in October. I also have a now 18-year-old who is the kids' stepbrother.

Im just trying to give them full time love and consistent parenting they deserve. No child should live in fear or be angry all the time.

A little about me and my little family. I filed for a domestic violence grant in 2017, after I had the courage to leave my now ex-husband for emotionally and physically being violent to my son (my ex-husband's stepson). He would pick him up by his ears, throw him against furniture. I got a job after being a stay at home mom for 7 years, saved up, and moved out. I had custody of my then 2.5-year-old and 6-year-old and 10 year old. The 10 year old was not my ex hudbands son. He would tell me, "I'm not paying a dime for child support and I'm signing my rights away." But the judge granted me child support. My ex was so manipulative that he used my son against me in court for the mental health issues he caused him, by the violence and abuse. My son would play fight like brothers do and if our youngest son got hurt playing too rough, my son would get the abuse. Anyhow, So he got full custody with me getting the kids on weekends and holidays. Because he claimed my son was not fit to be around his brother and sister.

Fast forward to 2021-ish. My son Hunter, who was 8ish at the time, started coming to me stating dad was putting hands on him. Dad threw him against a door, he has emotionally abused him, calling him retarded and things like that. He contantly yells and cuses at them. Baby sister witnessed this all too. I would call DHS and they would investigate and then close the case because there were no marks to back it up. Well, my son did have marks but no proof it was from being thrown against a wall or dragged by his ears. So many attempts to call DHS and still nothing was done.

Fast forward to 2023. I got every holiday and all of the summers due to the kids having an attorney. Last year, I filed for full custody and immediate danger because of more abuse and the kids crying every weekend to please not send them back to dad. I was granted the immediate danger during Christmas time but had to give the kids back after 3 weeks due to us needing to go to trial. The kids were yet again granted their own attorney. We went back to court; their attorney was very concerned with living at their fathers and the judge wanted to help me but needed to do things legally and with a trial. Dad has an attorney and the judge looked at me and said, "I want to help you but I urge you to get an attorney."

Edit... My son came to me once again on 08/12/2025 saying dad hit him during a weekend visit. Please help me stop this abuse. Thanks
