Hello, my name is Samara Thompson, and I am currently a third-year law student (3L) at Washburn University School of Law working hard toward my dream of becoming an attorney. I am scheduled to graduate in May 2026.
Law school has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding journeys of my life. As an international, non-traditional student, I have faced unique obstacles along the way, but I have never let those challenges stop me from pursuing my education and future career. Unfortunately, I am now experiencing significant financial hardship that has made it extremely difficult to cover both tuition and living expenses for my remaining time in law school.
Despite careful budgeting, seeking scholarships, and working as much as I can while balancing the demands of law school, the gap has grown beyond what I can manage on my own. This is why I am humbly asking for your support.
Your generosity will directly help me stay enrolled, focus on my studies, and cross the finish line in 2026. Completing my legal education means not only achieving a lifelong goal but also being able to give back through advocacy, mentorship, and service to the community.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping me continue this journey. I am deeply grateful for your kindness, support, and belief in my future.
Thank you for being part of my story.
— Samara
