Hello everyone, my name is Roberto, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of my life. I never imagined I would need to make a GoFundMe, but I’m facing an unexpected emergency — and I have only a few days to prevent losing my home.

Due to a sudden financial setback, the current political chaos, and the reality of small businesses like mine struggling to survive, I’ve fallen behind on my rent and essential utilities. I now have 3 days to pay what’s owed, or I’m at risk of eviction and having my power and utilities shut off. I’m doing everything I can, but I can’t bridge this gap alone.

I’m asking for $6,000 to cover:

Past-due rent to stop the eviction

Overdue utilities (electricity, water, internet) to keep my home livable

Late fees and emergency costs connected to the notice

A small buffer to stabilize the next few weeks while I rebuild

This amount will secure my housing and give me a chance to get back on my feet without losing everything I’ve worked so hard to build.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’ve always supported myself through my work, my art, and my community. I’ve built puppets, taught workshops, and dedicated myself to helping people express creativity and joy. I’m proud of the life and career I’ve created.

But right now, pressures outside my control have hit faster and harder than I could absorb. I’m humbled, scared, and choosing to ask for help rather than fall into silence.
