Help Rick Get Back on His Feet After a Workplace Injury ‍♂️

Hi, my name is Rick, and I’m reaching out today because life has thrown me and my boys some challenges we never saw coming.

For over 40 years — since I was 12 years old — I’ve worked hard, often seven days a week, 10–12 hours a day, to provide for my family and live a life built on honesty, pride, and perseverance. ️ I never thought I’d be in a position where I would have to ask for help. But after a serious injury on the job five months ago, that’s exactly where we find ourselves.

While working, I suffered a torn meniscus, ligament damage, and a fracture in my left knee. My right knee is also struggling with severe arthritis. Despite treatment attempts, my injuries left me unable to work. I filed a workman’s comp claim, but as many know, these processes take time — and so far, we haven’t received any financial support.

The situation has quickly gotten worse. Just recently, our family vehicle — which I had made payments on for three years — was repossessed because I simply couldn’t keep up without an income. My two sons are finally back home with me, and more than anything, I need to be able to provide stability for them. If it were just me, I would endure it quietly. But for them, I’m willing to put my pride aside and ask for help.
