Hi guys! I’m Rena. I am 56 yrs old and I have heart disease that was diagnosed this year in February when I had cardiac arrest and died. Luckily, I was at work! I work in a cardiology office, and my colleagues were able to save my life. They put a stent in my heart and told me that everything was gonna be OK.

Fast-forward to last Wednesday, October 8, I was crossing a bridge that had a slight incline, and my chest began to hurt. I went into my office and told someone that my chest was hurting, and they immediately rushed me over to the emergency room where I was admitted and told that the stent that was put in my heart has blockage and that the two other blockages I had are now severely blocked. I’m no longer a good candidate for a stent and I now need to have open-heart surgery/double bypass.

I’m seeking this money because I am brand new to the state that I live in, and I don’t have any time off from work for this incident. It was all used the last time that I got sick in February, and then I went on vacation in August, which used the rest of the time off that I had saved. So, I’m sitting in the hospital with no short-term disability coverage because that is an optional coverage here at work that I elected not to take, thinking that I didn’t need it, not knowing that I had a heart issue. Long-term disability does not kick in until you’ve been out of work for at least 90 days, which I have been told that I will be, but in the meantime, I have no money coming in and I have no more money saved.

After my first cardiac arrest incident, I had car problems and then I had plumbing problems at my house, so I am now in debt behind all of that. I’m asking for this money to help me maintain my monthly bills, my mortgage, food, and to keep Giovanni ♥️✨ and I going while I’m resting in recovery from my chest being cut open. I’m not normally the one to do something like this, but at this time, I’m in desperate need, and I really don’t have a choice but to humble myself and to ask my friends and family and people around me if there’s any way that they can find it in their heart to help.

I am a woman of faith, and I believe that God will get me through this, but I’m gonna need financial help in order to keep my house and not to go into further debt.
