Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, my name is Nita Aline Collie and I am a 61 year old, third generation Cuban Conch. Born and raised in Key West, I have always loved living on our "little island". Herein lies my dilemma. I recently was very sick and almost died from a diabetic coma. I am well now, better than I have been for many years. But the illness has put my personal finances back considerably. I was in arrears with my property taxes and I was able to save one of the year's back taxes. But it was too little, too late. And now I need to pay all 3 years that are in arrears at once or the property will sold from under me by May 30th, 2025. I have until then to raise the amount of $17,730.98 plus any additional court or filing fees. I am asking everyone to help keep me and my family in Key West.
