My name is Nicole. I'm an army veteran, a recovering addict 14 months into my sobriety, and most importantly, I'm a single mother of a 4-year-old daughter, Hendrix, and a 9-month-old son, Bodhi. I'm currently working full-time as a home healthcare aide for $13.50 an hour, and I'm supporting myself and both my children 100% of the time on that.

I had a car I was borrowing from a family friend, but he took it back just as it got cold here in the mountains of PA. Now, I'm forced to walk my children to daycare and myself to work and back every day. It's only been a week, and all of us have already been sick, but my baby just recovered from RSV, a double ear infection and bronchiolitis.

I desperately need a car. I didnt raise money fast enough to buy my friends car, so now I'm just raising the money for any car I can get for cheap that runs. My kids deserve safe and warm transportation in these cold winter months. I've taken on a second full-time job, but I won't be starting until this weekend and won't be paid for 3 weeks after that. So I desperately need help. Walking is not sustainable; there are no Ubers, cabs, or bus routes in my area, and I don't have anyone to drive us as I work very early in the morning.

Any amount would help. All my daughter wants for Christmas is for mommy to be able to take us where we need to go in a warm, reliable car. I can't afford for them to keep getting sick. I know it's close to Christmas, but if you can find it in your heart to donate any amount at all, even if 100 people donated $10, we could still find something for that, and we would very much appreciate it.
