Hello there friends and family. I'm reaching out to help my mom Renee. After the passing of my father back in 2017; she has been living on a very fixed income. She was also diagnosed with MS and is having a harder time moving around. Her central air just went out and the summer heat in Michigan has been hotter than down here in Florida and it is only June.

I have her set up with some portable units to get by in the bedrooms but I'm worried about mold becoming an issue with the summer humidity.

She would kill me if she knew I was doing this but with our wedding coming up this fall I just don't have the money to pay for it myself or I would.

Any amount is appreciated and I want to thank you all in advance for any help you can give.

Anything over $5000 needed to install a new a/c I would like to put towards some other home repairs/improvements she needs. Getting in and out of the shower/tub is hard for her so I would love to have it converted to a walk-in shower.
