Monica’s car suffered a major breakdown this week—her hybrid battery failed, along with several other issues identified by her mechanic. The cost to replace the battery alone is over $5,000, making repairs impractical given the car’s age and condition.

She’s now exploring the option of purchasing a reliable used vehicle, ideally with all-wheel drive, to ensure she can continue commuting to work and managing day-to-day responsibilities. Living in an expensive state without transportation is a serious burden, and right now, she’s doing everything she can to stay afloat.
