Hi Everyone ~ I'll try to keep this simple. I understand with the 1,000s of GoFundMe pages out there it can get a little overbearing I'm sure....

I have decided as a LAST Resort to create a GoFundMe page for my sister Loretta.

She has Cardiomyopathy, which is Heart Failure. She was just placed on the Heart Transplant list in 2024 (Praise God). She is quite literally at the mercy of NYC Langone hospital to find her a suitable heart! She is O+, which is making it an even harder task!

She lives in Upstate NY and the trip to NYC when they and IF they find her a heart is not easy.

She is a mother of 5 children and a grandma many times over! She is a beloved sister. There are 5 girls in the family - we are truly BEST FRIENDS.

I, along with family, have done everything we can to help her and keep her afloat with bills, food, and medical expenditures. However, this has proven to be daunting and we just can't do it. Hence, why I am at the mercy of total strangers, friends, and family to help donate to Loretta.

She had to stop working because of the heart failure. Even on disability, which pays very little, she tried to work! She did not seek sympathy and truly attempted to live a normal life (with ONLY 10% of heart function, mind you).

She did DoorDash and even had a cleaning position 2 nights a week. Unfortunately, she had no choice but to let these jobs go once she had the central line put into her chest with a milrinone medication. This is an IV port that she must have and is attached to a long cord to a cumbersome bag with her medication. She has to wear it 24 hours a day for the rest of the time until she gets a heart.

You may think it's not a big deal, but imagine not being allowed to ever go in a pool, hot tub, or even shower decently. She cannot work because everywhere she goes, this big bag must go, and the cord was getting tangled while cleaning. DoorDash was not very considerate seeing her with her port delivering food. It's heartbreaking for her!

She's a young woman still. This prolonged uncertainty if she'll make it to a heart transplant has been trying. Her bills are running wild, her car broke down, her rent was recently raised, and food and medical expenses have proven to be all too much. This is why I'm here seeking help for her to raise a little and get her somewhere stable enough to have NYC call, which could be any day!

She did not cause this to herself either. Meaning she doesn't do drugs, she doesn't smoke, she doesn't drink. Aside from her having too large of a heart, she's in good shape, but the heart is killing her - literally. Watching this has been terrible for our family! She has such a great sense of humor and acts like it doesn't bother her, but we know better and go along with her humor to keep it positive.

So friends, family, strangers, I appeal to anyone if you feel led or the Lord puts it on your heart to help in ANY manner or way, would you consider helping Loretta by donating? She more than anything needs her car fixed just to pass inspection in NY so she can get to her doctor appointments. Anyone living with heart failure knows you can have appointments sometimes 5 days a week! She needs to get to these doctors. She needs simple things like gas in the car. She needs help with food and rent just to get back on track some. So please, pray and seek it in your heart, would you consider helping?
