Hi, My name is Lamark Brooks. I am a Christian man residing in Jackson, Mississippi. I have worshipped in the area all of my life. I know that in life, you will have trials and tribulations. Throughout my life, there have been a few hardships, but that is life. Ten years ago, I went to the doctor and I was told that I was in complete renal failure. As a young man in his prime, this was hard news. But, I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and tried my best to carry on living. Though it is never good to be afflicted, in the words of the great hymn "It is well with my soul" the road that God has placed me on.
I know that there is some greater good for my circumstances, whether it is to be a testimony to someone else or be an example of his salvation.
So, over the past ten years, I have had multiple surgeries and procedures to ensure that my dialysis is as effective as possible. I have been on and off the kidney donor list many times, and am attending doctor's appointments often to get my health back where it needs to be, so that I am clear to receive a kidney any day with God's grace.
Recently, my only means of transportation started riding rough on the way to a doctor's appointment. By God's grace and mercy, I was able to make it home safely. My next steps were to try to get it to the mechanic, so I headed out. On my way, it stopped and would not start again. It was towed to the car shop and the mechanic called with the bad news. My motor had seized. He informed me that I would need to replace it in order to get rolling again. So, my goal is use the funds that I'm hoping to receive to find a good used motor or a used car. Transportation is vital to my continued health as it is used to transport me to dialysis three times a week as well as to important doctor's appointments. Any help that you can find it in your heart to give will be greatly appreciated.
