Help Kelly Avoid Homelessness and Find Stability

Hello friends, my name is Susan. I'm raising funds for my long-time friend Kelly, who is facing being imminently unhoused. Kelly has lupus and fibromyalgia, which have been disabling for her for many years. Now 63, she receives little financial support and no resources for the current crisis. She has put her heart and soul into creating a haven for herself in her backyard garden and beloved chickens; however, she cannot continue renting her home due to a sudden change in her financial support.

I'm raising money to get her car in working order, cover a deposit and rental expense in a new apartment, and help with monthly living expenses (phone and utilities) for the first few months so she can avoid being unhoused or living in her car. We are working with local support agencies, though her needs are beyond what such agencies can provide to make this difficult transition.

I took the photo of Kelly in 2016 when she hosted a group of friends to show us her beloved chickens and garden. Though it is difficult for Kelly to get out often, she remains a dear friend to many. Anything you can give, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and assist her in making this difficult transition. Please consider supporting her during this vulnerable time.
