Kay, my beautiful partner, is a queer disabled person in need of medicine to manage their EDS. Without it, they spend every minute of our conversations screaming in pain. They used to need a wheelchair, but thanks to the WONDERFUL contributions of past fundraisers, they now only need their cane. THIS is how far your dollar goes to this fundraiser, and trust me when I say that every cent goes into improving their quality of life. It’s honestly amazing to see them feeling so much better, but that will radically change if they don’t have the money for their medication by October 17th. Because despite their improvements they’re still unable to work, and with the current regime’s attacks on DEI, that’s unlikely to change.
