Donate to Keep Jaiden and Kione by Obi's Side

Story

My name is Erin Miller. I am asking for anyone that is capable to help Jaiden and Kione and their little family. Jaiden is my best friend's daughter. Jaiden and Kione have Amari, who is 3, and then welcomed their sweet Obi into the world on Feb. 11, 2025. He has been in a fight to survive since. He's been diagnosed with a rare, severe POLG 2 disease, which attacks all of his organs and mitochondrial cells, which are the energy producers of the body. He's not strong enough to eat on his own. He was in PICU for a while, then got moved to a regular stay room. He then took a turn for the worse and was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and was rushed to Children's Mercy. With a pulse of 211, they were worried about him going into cardiac arrest. They had to insert a g-tube and also started him on dialysis to clear acid from his bloodstream. With all this being new and rare, we don't have much more information right now. Jaiden and Kione both are unable to work, being in Kansas City and not wanting to leave Obi's side or each other. They could use and TRULY from the bottom of their hearts appreciate anything at all! Just trying to keep the rest of life costs, their rent, their car needs some repairs to get to and from KC, care for their animals as well, and food for them. Thank you and God bless!!!!
