Hello. My name is Caitlyn Butler. My son is Hunter. Hunter has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is a muscle-wasting disease that affects all of his muscles. We have enrolled him in a treatment called Elevidys that may slow or stop the progression of the disease. This is happening in Morristown, NJ on July 31st of this year.

This treatment requires a large dose of steroids daily, which will compromise his immune system. With this, they recommend a month of quarantine and biweekly blood tests. With this also comes possible life-threatening side effects. We have decided, with his medical team, that it would be best to be within 5 miles of the hospital for as long as possible in that first month. We currently live in Pohatcong, which is almost an hour away. As you may imagine, this will pose a large financial burden on my family. We are trying to see if we could possibly be able to raise enough to cover the cost of our stay for the month. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!
