My name is Damian Arango, and I'm creating this GoFundMe for my niece Heidi Romero, who is fighting cancer for the third time. I'd like to share a bit about what my niece has been through over the years. Heidi Romero is now 16 years old, and she's a young woman dedicated to God. She never misses church services. She loves dogs, especially her lifelong companion Luna (a Husky), and she's passionate about painting and listening to music. She also enjoys makeup and wearing lots of accessories.

Heidi was first diagnosed with B-cell ALL leukemia when she was 7 years old. She was treated with chemotherapy and managed to go into remission for the first time. Even at such a young age, she always maintained a positive attitude with a smile. She was able to return to school and start living a normal life like all the kids her age. On January 21, 2021, when she was 13 years old, she received the terrible news that the cancer had returned. Once again, we began aggressive chemotherapy, which caused her hair to fall out, her body to weaken, and she lost movement in her

right hand. She stopped talking. But she managed to go into remission again. With the help of physical therapy and speech therapy, she's slowly improving. She returned to a normal life, started high school, and we thought everything was behind us. We never imagined they never imagined that they had to go through this fight again.

August 15, 2025, in one of her routine check-ups, her exams showed that the cancer has returned for the third time. This time we will fight it with a bone marrow transplant. For this, we need to transfer to Stanford Hospital in San Jose, CA, because in Las Vegas they don't perform these procedures. The family is preparing to make the trip. For this reason, I am asking for your help to collect funds for transportation and the expenses that this entails. The goal of this is to keep the family together so that her siblings can visit as often as allowed.
