Keep Grandpa and Little Anne Together

Little Anne is my grandfathers life line. It was the last thing he and my grandmother bought together before she unexpectedly passed after 60 years together. My grandpa loves little Anne dearly and dotes on her every move. She is his reason for getting up each day; his true companion now. Sadly, this week, little Anne started to not act right. She felt warm to the touch, was lethargic, and didn’t enjoy their afternoon adventures. We took little Anne to the vet and found out she had a severe infection that resulted in an emergency hysterectomy. Little Anne is young and had never gone into heat; we were already on the books to have her spayed. Her sickness came as a deep shock and blow. Instead of a $600 spay bill that he diligently had gone without to save for, we were met with a crippling $2000 bill! As a family, we are not able to help cover the vet expense because we are already assisting in covering his mortgage and utilities.

I am making this post because my grandfather lives on an extremely tight and fixed income. A $2000 debt is crippling for his livelihood, but living without her would be even more crippling.
