Hi, I’m Glenson, a full-time Cal State student trying to stay focused on school while navigating an overwhelming set of hardships.
This summer has tested me in every possible way..
I was scammed out of $699 while working for a rideshare company, doing everything I could to stay afloat. Soon after, I was rear-ended in a collision that left me with a dislocated shoulder and a large rental car bill. My medical care is covered, but the financial consequences are not.
On top of that, I live with an episodic disability that flares under stress. My work schedule is unpredictable, and patient cancellations directly impact my income. I’ve also been doing local gig work in my neighborhood, yardwork, moving help, odd jobs, but even that has been inconsistent, and demand dropped just as my situation worsened.
Now, I’ve fallen behind on rent for two months in a row, and my sublessor has made it clear there won’t be a third chance. I’m facing the very real risk of losing my housing if I can’t catch up in the coming days.
I’ve done everything I can to piece it together, juggling jobs, school, and my health, but I’m at a point where I need help to make it through.
Your support will help me:
Recover the $699 I lost in the scam
Pay off rental car fees tied to the accident
Catch up on rent to avoid eviction
Stabilize enough to focus on school and move forward
This isn’t a forever ask. It’s a lifeline to get through a season that has knocked me down harder than I expected.
If you can donate, I’m incredibly grateful. And if you can’t, sharing this with your network helps just as much.
Thank you for being part of my recovery and resilience.
