Hi, I’m a full-time grad student and intern at a domestic violence organization in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to my work supporting survivors, I also care for a colony of 14 feral cats that have taken up residence outside my apartment. What started with one or two hungry visitors turned into a full-scale rescue effort — and now, I’m doing everything I can to make sure they’re safe, healthy, and not reproducing.
So far, I’ve successfully TNR’d 12 out of the 14 adult cats. That means they’ve been trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to their territory to live out their lives without contributing to the cycle of overpopulation. I still have two adult males to care for, and four kittens who require comprehensive veterinary care — including vaccines, deworming, and eventually, adoption into loving homes.
Between my limited student income, rising vet costs, and the time I dedicate to both school and my internship, I’m doing the best I can — but I need help. Donations will go directly toward:
Spay/neuter surgeries are $45/ per cat
Vaccines and medical care $ vary depending on need
Daily food and clean water $50-$70 a month
Fostering supplies for kittens until they’re adopted, $ Varies on needs for litter
As someone who works in community care, I firmly believe that how we treat animals reflects how we treat one another. These cats didn’t ask to be born outside or to struggle to survive. I’ve chosen to show up for them, but I can’t do it alone.
Thank you so much for reading, donating, or simply sharing this with others who care. Every little bit makes a difference.
Thank you so much for being part of this.
