My name is Esther, and I’m currently a college student working hard toward my degree while balancing work, school, and personal responsibilities. I’ve always tried to handle challenges on my own, but right now I’m facing something I can’t navigate alone.

Since 2020, I have been in foster care and living with my foster mother. Transportation has been essential for me — getting to school, work, internships, rehearsals, and fulfilling everyday responsibilities. Unfortunately, my current car is no longer reliable. It has begun stopping unexpectedly while I’m driving, and the ABS brake system has been malfunctioning, which makes it unsafe. Repair costs are high, and putting more money into a failing vehicle no longer feels like a responsible investment.

I am raising funds to purchase a safe, reliable used car so that I can continue pursuing my education and career without risking my safety. Having dependable transportation will allow me to:

Safely commute to campus and work

Attend professional and internship opportunities

Maintain stability and independence

Avoid the risk of being stranded or in an accident

This isn’t about upgrading — it’s about safety and stability. I am working and contributing what I can, but as a student, covering the full cost on my own isn’t realistic right now.
