Keep Eli Safe and Sheltered

My name is Emily and my friend Eli needs emergency shelter while we work with social services on a permanent solution. I am updating this story to reflect progress made, and to express that it is still necessary for us to continue to fundraise and meet our intended financial goal.

Eli still needs a safe place to shelter, though our goal is no longer weather-related. Our goal is still permanent housing, and now our focus has narrowed to permanent-supportive housing. The good news is Eli's new primary care physician is working on gathering the data for these applications. The difficulty is that it takes many months for the paperwork and support to come through.

In the meantime, our fundraising goal is the same, though there is a new timeline. We are now working to raise enough money for Eli to stay in a hotel as bridge support until his disability and housing applications are authorized.
