My name is Danny Hickey. I suffer from PTSD, borderline personality disorder, agoraphobia, panic disorder, anxiety disorders, and depression. All this really began when I was 19 and heard my brother get murdered down the street from where I lived at the time. That's when the PTSD came on. For a year, I didn't leave my parents' side.

Then, when I was 22, my back started giving me such pain and complications. My marriage ended. I also suffer from degenerative disc disease, for which I have had to have three discs repaired already, with more to come. My last back operation left me bedridden for about 2 months, during which I had to walk with a walker, then crutches, and then a cane. I live in constant pain.

One night, I was with my parents in Ingles when what I now know to be a massive panic attack happened, which led to me developing agoraphobia and not leaving the house because of the panic attacks. If I even thought of leaving the house, I would have one. Paramedics were at my house regularly. I have been disabled for 20 plus years and have also lived in the same house for 23 years. Like I said, when I was in my early 20s and the back problems started, I had to move into my parents' home they were renting. 24 years later, I am still living here, even after my dad passed in 2016 from a blood vessel bursting in his lungs.

My mother called me into the bathroom, screaming and frantic. When I got there, my dad was standing there, looked over at us, and collapsed. The room was covered in blood. I rushed over, called 911, and tried to do CPR on him. It was horrific. Then, one day in January of 2018, my mother's belly swelled up like a balloon, and she was diagnosed with stage 3 primary peritoneal cancer. It was very rare and fast-moving. She was in hospice care here at home, and I took care of her. Every day, I would have to drain her lungs, give her meds, and take care of her the best I could.

Now, I'm still dealing with the agoraphobia, panic attacks, ADD, OCD, anxiety and panic disorders, and depression.. I need to raise $50,000 at least to buy my place. I have nowhere else to go, and with all the mental issues and physical problems, I can't move. I am desperate and begging for people to help. Please be the hands and feet of God and help me. I can't even go down the road because of the agoraphobia and panic attacks. My mother and dad died here; this has been my home for 23 years. I mentally, physically, and emotionally can't move.
