You may know Brick as that tough cool monster from outerspace world dot com, the world breaker, the end of the liner, but to me, they are more than that. They’re not just a formidable opponent, or an amazing ally to have as my tag team partner. Brick is my best friend, and when my best friend is hurting, I will help them in any way I can, they would do the same for me.
As some of you may already know, Brick’s car was totaled last weekend on the way to the first of 3 bookings they had scheduled for the weekend. Brick managed to get to all 3 bookings despite the considerable hurdle, and put on great show after show for everyone.
That’s just the type of person Brick is. Business comes first. The show must always go on, even when you are hurting or bills are stacking up or your mind just isn’t in the right place. As someone who knows this feeling all too well, wrestling can be a catharsis in a time of great suffering and doubt. Wrestling can make you feel alive again.
This is possibly the worst timing for being without a car, as Brick is travelling literally everywhere in Texas each week. Being without a car not only impacts Brick’s wrestling career, but also their personal life and career outside of wrestling.
Brick is my best friend, my brother. I would do anything for them. I know asking for help isn’t easy or even something some people would consider doing, and that is ok because that is what family is for. Texas wrestling is the biggest tight knit family I know, and we show up for those we care about.
If you have ever purchased a ticket to a show because Brick was there, please consider giving what you can to help my brother get back on their feet and back into your town once again.
