Hi, my name is Nathalie. Mommy to my son Caleb and to our fur baby Bella.
Bella is our 10 year old baby girl. She has been with us a little after her first year of life, she came into our lives as a total surprise but with so much joy and happiness we have loved her since the first time we saw her.
We have had bella for 9 out of her 10 years and love her unconditionally. She was our first daughter, and we have given her a life full of joy and happiness. She is a spoiled rotten girl and has all of our attention. The day our son was born, Bella was there to introduce her brother to the world. She has been by his side for his entire life and they share a special bond.
She is his big sister, protector, and lifelong friend. Bella has grown alongside our nieces and nephews her entire life. She LOVES babies, kids, and she loves people. She’s an angel. Bella has been with us through every milestone of our lives, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
She’s now reached 10 years old, and she still has so much energy, enthusiasm and is so full of life.
Unfortunately, up until about a month ago, we noticed a strange mass on her leg. At the time, the vet didn’t think it was going to grow, and with her age, they suggested we just monitor it. Well, about 2 weeks ago, it opened up. It was just a small pin hole that was bleeding. The next morning, the mass had ruptured through her skin and was protruding. Her veterinarian refused to treat her as the mass is found to be in a complicated area that many surgeons refuse to operate on.
We drove from clinic to clinic seeking someone who could save her life. We finally found a savoir for her, but the process was going to be a long and costly one. We had to do a biopsy, x rays, and blood work done before attempting surgery as well as antibiotics to keep the exposed tumor from becoming infected. We received the results back earlier this week, and all the tests showed positive signs for surgery.
The mass is a type of cancer that will not spread, which is good, but none the less complicates the surgery. After the mass is removed the area will not be able to be stitched closed leading to a more complicated form of recovery where we will need to be bringing her back multiple times a week for the next 6 week as to dress and disinfect the open wound as it slowly and naturally closes. The surgery and the follow-up visits after, due to the complicated nature of the mass removal will be extremely costly.
All of this to say, we are asking for your support to be able to help us with the cost of her medical bills and her recovery moving forward.
This was unexpected, and unfortunately, we were not prepared for this all of a sudden.
Whether you can donate, say a prayer, or simply keep Bella in your thoughts, sending her good healing energy, we appreciate you and your time. Thank you so much.
