Hello, I’m Amy, and I’m an LGBT+ American and hobbyist Vtuber who is currently struggling to make ends meet after over a year of unemployment. I’ve currently applied for over 800 jobs since August of 2024, both in my own industry, as well as minimum wage service industry jobs to little success. This all started when I was let go on the work day after my birthday, which I had taken vacation time off to celebrate. Ever since then, I’ve lost over $5,000 of my savings to a fake job scam, and been offered a job twice. Both times this happened, it resulted in me accepting the offer, only to be entirely ignored, and later rejected by the offering company with no reasons given. I’ve entirely run my unemployment benefits dry, my attempts at providing art and voice acting commissions have been mostly unsuccessful, and now I no longer have enough in my savings to pay my rent or other expenses for next month.

Here’s how the funds raised here will be used: $2,000 will be used to cover the cost of rent and utilities for the month of September, and $2,000 will be used to cover the same for the month of October, in the hopes that I would be able to acquire a job within the next two months. $500 will be used to cover the cost of groceries for both months ($250 for September, and $250 for October). $200 will be for medications and other predictable, medically necessary expenses. $800 will be reserved for unpredictable expenses, such as unforeseeable health issues, home repair, or transit to in-person interviews.
